Have been running my Electric Start Eciter with no battery. Put in new battery and headlight comes on with ignition off. Fuse is fine. Sled starts fine. Light on always. Smoking and burning electric smell from rectifier area.
When I UNPLUG 1 wire form the Rectifier the headlight goes off. Sled still starts, but no charge. (12.70v sitting and running) Got frustrated and now realize I didnt check voltage with Rectifier wire plugged in, but suspect bad Rectifier. Can anyone 'rectify' this situation.
