SRX Problems

I have a 1998 srx with a 2001 srx 700 motor. I am having a problem. Sometimes when I am riding the sled just shuts off and then it will start back up again. I have disconnected the TORS sytem and bypassed it. It seems to only go about 70 mph on flat land with minimum snow. Any suggestions on this problem I would appreciate it. Thanks
PS Does the CDI box nubmer make a difference
example F8T34073-7918; F8T34073-8019 Do the last 4 digits make a difference??

I am not sure if this is your problem but the 2001 stater puts out more electricity then the 98 or 99 stater so the cdi might be effected by the excess power its getting, if thats the old cdi.
Joe.

What do you suggest to get a different CDI?

It may be starving for fuel. A CDI is usually good or bad, period.
