I just picked up a newer boat the other day. Traded in the larson for a 2000 bayliner capri 2050 with a 5.0L V8 Merc making 220HP. Haven't had it in the water yet, i can wait though.

Na... I have a 25 hp Merc. It was the last 2 stroke the dealer had. I bought it and used it for ONE weekend. It's been sitting for over a year now. Finally got a boat to put it on. (Shared a boat before, no motor) Now, if I only had a trailer.

Not at all.. owning a boat is awsom!.. fishing, swimming , wake boarding, tubing.. its great!

Family owns a 06 tahoe q4 sf and my boat is a 14 ft flat bottom gator boat with a 06 mercury 4 stroke big foot 25 hp just upgraded from a Chrysler 25 2 stroke. What a difference in weight and gas consumption.

got a 1991 westcoaster 14' with a 15hp merc. Gets around pretty good on the lakes around here. Small enough to go in the rivers too. Have to overhaul the motor this year though. Need to get on that...fishing season opens up soon.
