Post 79' Enticer 340

I have a 79 enticer 340, that doesnt run. The only time that it runs is when i squirt gas into the cylinders via through the spark plug holes. It has been sitting for about 2 years, which obviously is way 2 long. Fuel pump works. I am replacing the fuel filter and fuel lines, oil filter and lines, new needle and seat (heard that could be the problem), main jet #240, pilot jet #85,& cleaned the carbs, and replaced the oil and fuel. I did a compression check and both cylinders had about 50psi, is that ok? Let me kno if there is anything else i should do b4 i put it back together.

Thanks,
Nate

Make sure your compression tester is OK, because 50 is WAY too low. It should be at LEAST 110 on each side to run well.

50 is too low? If the tester was ok that would mean new piston rings right? I was told that if it is uniform, across both cylinders that it should at least start.

anything less than 90 per cyl will not run.

^^^What he said!!^^^
Got to have enough squeeze to get the POP!
Could be rings, pistons, or scored/worn cylinders!
