I have a 1973 jdx4 I took the carb apart to put a carb kit in it. put it back on and it runs but gas comes out the side of it. The side that has a gas line that goes to the crank it has a little u shaped cut out on the plate and that is where the gas is coming out. If anyone has any help I would apprecette it.

Gas coming out of the pulse line fitting is not good.
You must have some parts in wrong.
