1969 moto ski capri restoration info

Hello. i recently got the oppertunity to get a 1969 moto ski capri 297 jlo. its been sitting outside for a few years, and it's in need of a total restoration. i was wondering what the cost of a full resto would be, and if its even worth it with this sled. thanks! i will post pictures as soon as i figure out how!

It all depends on the condition of the sled and how far u want to go. If ur doing it to make money....... I wish u luck. If ur doing it to learn and have fun with? Great! I restored my cat. And a good rule of thumb was it will cost 2x as much and take 2x longer than u think. And if it doesn't ...... Bonus! I also did a 47 cockshutt farm tractor with my dad. Started out as we will just give it a rattle can paint job. Ended up as a full blown restore except the engine. It's been in the fam since 66 and will never leave the family. Whatever u decide just have fun with it and take your time. You will be amazed at the results if u do! Have fun!

Total restoration is almost never "worth it" in terms of selling the machine for a profit. It can be worth it in terms of having a machine that few other people have though, it all depends on what you're looking for.
