81 yamaha ss44O with sc10 suspension,would it work?

Recently purchased a restored/rebuilt Yamaha ss440.I'm impressed with the machine but like any old sled the rear suspension takes a toll on ur body the day after a good ride.I was wondering if it would be possible to put the sc10 suspension found on some skidoos and what mods it might tak.let me know of ur ideas and experience s.thanx

new drivers 2.52 pitch
