Just purchased a yamaha 440 exciter and was wanting to know how to find out the year I think it is a 79 but not sure any help?

either on.the tunnel or the motor if its the oringanal motor

It is all original but not seeing any numbers or stamping anywhere it needs a good cleaning so I thought someone would know a place where they would have a stamping in a hiding place I have a sticker with some numbers but not sure what they mean

eagle1004 hey just got back to my labtop, away on work sorry for the late reply. sled is not in my hands to get the #, a friend of mine has sled and is doing some work on it. when I get it back I will put the #'s up

eagle1004 here are the #'s 8H6-028404 or 648321A these are both on the tunnel so any help would make it easier to get parts THANKS....... sorry for just putting up now but first I was gone then my buddy was gone ..

Yes that is a 79 exciter 440
