What is a compression range :

Looking for a compression range for an 1980 377cc Ski Doo Citation. I have 75lbs on PTO side & 65 lbs. on Mag side.

Usually, 2-strokes don't run well (if at all) under 100 psi. I would consider anything less than that as evidence that some work needs to be done on the engine. If your sled starts easily and runs fine at those numbers, I would suspect your gauge is off.

Welcome to the forum!

Your right ,I had taken another test on this motor and it read under 50 lbs. on both cylinders. I tore into the motor & man it"s very tired. I was given this sled as is condition . So now I got a rebuild project.

Free sleds aren't. Hope it goes well for you!

Post some pics as you go, we're always into seeing other guys' engines in pieces

when you tear it apart your bore size would be 62mm if it's worn out as much as you said you might have to go .10thou over. but anyways measure your bore size if it's very close to 62mm then just replace the rings but make sure you measure good to see if out of round
