Just did some reading on here

I read in one of the threads that even tho my sled reads 20:1 on the tank, that with the oil we have now we can do 40:1 or even 50:1?? is this correct?? if the snow ever decides to come Im gonna be leaving this sled at my hunting lease property with a 5 gal can of gas , and got to thinking that it was gonna be kinda expensive to get that many little cans of oil to make 20:1, so would I still be ok with 40 or 50:1?

anybody know what the actual size of the tanks is on a suzuki Nomad?

Yes you will be okay. The tank on the 1971 Nomad was 4.2 US Gallons. The 1972 360cc Nomad was 4.5 US Gallons. Not sure of the tank sizes on the 1973 to 1975 Nomad 292 or 340. What's the year and engine size of yours?

Yes...with todays modern formulations a ratio of half of the OEM specs is acceptable. I've been running half ratio on an old Evinrude "Big Twin" on an old fishing boat for years...no problems. I also run my 73 Panther at 40:1.

20:1 ratio would be a quart of oil in 5 gal of gas.
The new formulations of oils makes running a thinner mix much easier/safer for the engine.

40:1 with synth blends or even 50:1 with full synth is fine.

40:1 is a quart in 10 gal.
