Installing heated grips

Has anyone done this on a 1978 pantera?I ordered some hot grips and am now relizing that the factory grips are intergrated to the throttle/brake lever.I thought they were seperate but they are not.Thanks!

You would need the ones that fit inside the handlebars because the OEM grips are held on by a roll pin.

Yeah,I should have took it apart BEFORE ordering.Oh well,ya have to learn somehow.I think before I order anything else,I will just ask you RJ .Thanks again.

I know it can be done because my '78 Pantera has heated grips... The only thing I dislike about them is that they've only got one setting, they're on or off and they get really hot...
The nice thing is that the bars hold the heat for awhile after you turn them off.
