76 Rupp Nitro 340

Just drug it home from the neighbors the other day and got her running. Has not run in at least 7 years. Definitely was more advanced than the competition from its day. Dual pipes, reed valve intake, Massive carbs, plastic gas tank, wide ski stance and many others. The cooling system for this sled is quiet interesting, It has a automobile style radiator and the coolant flows through the front bumper.

Dyno at 50 HP.
Needs some tuning but it runs like snot.
Anyone know of where a guy could get any manuals for it?

Thanks.

Will put up picks soon.

I was talking to my landlords father and he had one of these sleds. Only he said his was a 440 Nitro. He said it was waaayyy ahead of all the other sleds in that day and age and it was nuts. How much money were these Rupps new compared to say a 440 TX, SRX, Blizzard ect..I thought the 340 TX's were fast at 80 MPH for a 1977. How crazy were these Rupp Nitros?
