250 Sachs Motor - Iam a murderer!

Well i finaly found a snowmobile motor for a project sled, it was a 250 Sachs one lunger out behind a garage, guy told me it was blew up but i knew better lol i modifed a large elan carb and carb boot to fit, and for the time being i put on a straight pipe just to see if it would run.
So we screw the motor to a board, and clamp it to the floor, squirt gas into the carb and some into the head (yes premix) i pulled 5 times before it chugged onces, then it started, and the combo of big carb, straight pipe, and no belt sent it into about the 20,000,000 Rpm Range!!
It was beeyond loud, it made our eyes cross, and the worst thing was no way of shutting it off cause the plug wire i put on was just a peice of copper wire soldered to the plug!!
I couldnt beleive how long it was goin for, must have been 20 seconds untill finally it died, and when it did the clutch stopped, but the startor kelpt turning

hahaha yea Ive seen that happen before to a singe cylinder 250 polaris star engine. It wouldnt start and we tried everything. And I mean everything. We had it bolted to a H beam and I forgot what we changed but we had no carb on it at all. Just put gas in the cylinder. Well it started and we didnt expect it to and it ran wide open because there was no carb. Scared the guy who was pulling it to death when it roared to life...hahhhaa. It died eventually after the gas burnt up..hahahaha
