84 polaris ss

so bought this sled last year and got it up to 50 and that was about it. It made some funny noises like the belt was slipping. so this year i completely stripped it down, cleaned the carbs, engine, filters, clutches, new springs, and bearings all around. took it out and still only does 50

the secondary spring was a red one instead of white. I didnt changed the weights but they were oem ones in it. any ideas? hoping this lightweight thing would rip through the snow

What size engine?
You should see near 65mph with that.

50 in powder, 65 on hard pack is normal for that size.
