1971 Panther 340 (Starting issues)

I had this machine dropped off to me last winter and it always started and ran great. Now it will not stay running. It will start after a few pulls if I put gas in the carb but will only run for a few seconds then it cuts out....

Things I checked: - Exhaust clear
-Fuel lines clear
-Took gas cap off
-Track not bound, turns by hand

What else could I check

re

I had one of those things when I was a kid and let me tell you... I did a lot of walking!
Check the filter that is in the bottom of the tank (or should be) and make sure it is not plugged with dirt or rust. Make sure your fuel lines are not pinched under the seat restricting the gas flow. I do remember using eather to keep the sled running to get the fuel lines primed, and it takes a while, a lot longer than you would expect! Hope that helps

It's warm right now. It won't stay running as good unless it's EFI.
