El tigre no spark

Hey i have 2 eltigre 4000's both spirit engines one 440 and one 500. I can't seem to get spark out of either. Common problem? Changed some parts and nothing. Maybe some wisdom would help me out. Love to have them rippin before the snow flies!

Unplug the wires at the engine and jump the brown to black and see if it starts then.

Thanks ill give it a shot. I tested the switch and found it to be N/O switch. Never tried it in the closed position.
