Hello im just wanting to get some information on a couple free sleds i got. first one is a ski doo olympic not sure wat year it is thinking about a 67 im not really sure any help would be nice. Got it in the garage and put some oil in the cylinder to make sure it was lubracated and then put a little fuel in the carb fired right up. would like a little bit of general information on it. and 2nd is a Ski daddler scout 2. motor is locked up on it from sitting any help to unlike it would be appreciated as this is my grandfathers old sled who just passed away. any info on ether would be nice. I will post pics as soon as i get them. Thx

Oh my friend has two of those olympics. They're 12 horse, right? They'll do about 30 but they are GREAT for breaking trails and they never get stuck. They're really fun to beat on lol. Can you get bigger pics?

Lol didn't think to do that. I'm really in a hyperactive mood... just found a 71 international pickup that's a steal. I'm really excited about it.

I wouldn't put too much money into the ski doo. You're probably not thinking about riding that too much when you have all of those other sleds, right? I'd only use it for trail breaking. It does have a rotax engine so that's nice. I don't know about the other one but again, don't go throwing money at the 12 horse lol.

haha nope i dont plan on putting to much money into it. It does need a seat wich will be the most money on it. gotta get new hoses for it and that should be good for me cuz like you have said i really dont plan to ride it to much with all the other sleds. Just came in from the garage just had it running buying spraying fuel in the carb sat there about 5 mins doing that. But as u can see in the pic i am trying to get anther hood for my everest i just picked up.

Btw I heard those john deere sleds are tanks. What are your experiences with them?

lol by the looks of the suspension i may want one on that beast. if i cant get one i will run without one lol. ummm i know my 400 is a beast of a sled got it from a farmer who had it sitting in a quansent for 20 years so it looks almost new the only let down on this sled is i dont like the ccw engine at all. idk about the sportfire I got it and rode it prob twice. body wise was poor so i just decided to do a project with it. If you wanna know a tank now that wildcat is a tank. no doubts about it

Oh yeah. You should try getting a 91' mach 1 onto the back of a truck without running it. Took us ten minutes with five people lol.

I know that feeling took 6 guys and about 10 mins to put the wildcat onto a trailer when i broke the chain. lol

according to the internet it's a 68 but im not sure the frame number is bb8-122580. and the motor number is 1436045. i noticed on the 68 the sparkplug is at a angle and mine striaght up and down. so im lost any help would be nice with this. and the ski daddler lol

Maybe they switched the engines. It doesn't have the year on the side?

nope just the id tag on it. like my john deere. but that came with title so i know wat year it is.

I could ask my friend what year his is. I'm pretty sure now that they're the same sleds. He's had both sitting for 5-10 years now. He runs one sled at a time. He was using his yammy but he had engine trouble so he got his cat running. Then that started having trouble so he bought a 377 ski doo (not the one we're talking about lol) and he's running that now. I don't think he'll ever use those 12 horses again.

ooooic. i run all my sleds all winter long hte vintage for the vintage snowmobile runs and events and the others for trail riding with the family. Why wont he be running the 12 hp sleds? i beleive the older the better. ride were the sledding began. and those sleds are getting mroe and more rare everyday.

I think that's part of the problem. Try finding sellers for the parts when they break. Mainly it's because he likes speed over style. (Who wouldn't?)
