Smile Seat Removal on JD Trailfire...help

I recently purchased a JD Trailfire 440 at auction and would like to get the seat off so I can remove the fuel tank. I have searched the sled in vain for the bolts, etc which are holding the seat on. Can anyone help? I believe the Manufacture date if Sept 1981, so it is an '82 model.

Should be under the tunnel above the track... Bolt heads should be in a seat compartment..

Otherwise... take a picture and I can go from there.. Had a sled just like that, but never removed the seat.

Crap. I was afraid that would be the answer... next weekend I will take the track off i suppose to get to it. This could be an interesting project. I removed the airbox and it was packed full of mouse nest...smelled really good. The carb need to be gone thorough as it has had plenty of mouse pee in it. :thumbsup Whereabouts in MN are you? I'm up near Georgetown, MN.

You do not have to remove the track to get at the seat. It's just under the tunnel, behind the bumper, about 6 inches in. I have to Mapquest that... I will get back to you!
