i picked up a 79 yamaha excell v, i was wondering if it was the 530 or 540
if anyone can give me some info and specs that would be great

look on the side of the cylinder were the crank case stops and the cylinder starts there should be numbers on the side on the PTO side just behind the clutch I willing to bet that its an 8H 535CC I have an 80 Excel V and its that its considered a 540 but the 8H heads are the lower hose power heads the 8R heads are the high power heads
