1969 Ski-Doo Olympic 320 Restoration Project

My grandpa gave me this old Ski-Doo that I've always wanted to fix up since I was little. The last year it was registered was 1975, and has been sitting out at my grandpa's hunting shack since then, it needs A LOT of TLC, but seems to be pretty complete. My mom, aunts, and uncles rode this back when they were young. I've always liked the look of these old Olympics, and it has a lot of sentimental value, so I am going to attempt to restore it. My grandpa thinks that it is a 1968, but he isn't positive.

number on the chasis - 6912249564
number on the engine - 1587038

EDIT - I FOUND OUT IT IS A 1969

If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, where do you guys go for parts? I've found one good website so far (Spaulding Vintage Snowmobile), but thats about it other than ebay.

Here are some pictures that I took of it today. My grandpa has the recoil and a track at his house. The track was on a 440 Silver Bullet, and is in great condition, will this fit on the Olympic?

Welcome to the forum. Make sure to post a "Hello" in the New Members Forum.

Looks good for an old sled. I used to ride my dad's '68 Olympique (single cylinder 333cc I think) back when I was 12. I remember having to squirt gas in the cylinder to get it started on cold days. From the serial number, I think it is a 1969 but from my memory, it looks pretty much the same as what I used to ride.

yeah, i just found a serial number list, and it is a 1969 Ski-Doo Olympic 320

on the sled, it has a sticker that says "320 AS," do you know what this "AS" stands for?

The track from the silver bullet will not fit that.
