Hi,back again wondering if anybody knows where the timing marks on a 433 yamaha fan cooled would be found on this engine as i see the flywheel has a mark on one of the windows it has cdi and it has pulser coils like points that are movable to fine tune the timing. If anybody knows about this would be a great help as i rebuilt egine from crankshaft bearings and seals and new pistons and gaskets want to make sure everything is going to work right.want to say thanks for any help that is given, Gary!

If you have not taken it apart yet. mark the stator plate to the mount with a chisel and just realign the marks on reassembly.

I had done that on disassembly, but i"m not sure that the timing is not right on the pto side.Ihad a problem with the piston burning up on the exhaust side.Had some leaking seals on the crankshaft, more leaking on the magneto side and a little on pto side but all replaced in new.Wondering if there is any timing marks on the engine case or on the fan shroud. Thanks in advance Gary.

The piston burning up was due to the air leaks, not the timing.
With the CDI system, the timing will be constant as long as you put it back in the same spot.

well i hope your right ,never had a hard time to start machine two pulls and it starts .Never seemed to back fire or hesitate on acceleration.Just seemed to burn up on pto side, the magneto side was leaking the most oil and was being thrown by the cooling fan right over the both cylinders which are all cleaned up now. Will keep an eye on the engine when i fire it up. thanks for the info
