Problem changeing track

Hey I have a 1973 440 silver bullet. I am trying to change the track on it. The other track I had on it broke. I have bin trying to take off the drive axle to put the new track on and I can't get it. I took both sprockets off in the chain case. There is no key piece or anything I can see and it will not come loose i've tryed A LOT of stuff and I can't get it off. Does anyone know a quicker way to do this or the trick to it. thanks.

You need to remove the oil seal behind chaincase and have you removed the bearing cup on the clutch side.
