piston ring

ok i have the piston out of the motor and the bottom piston ring is stuck on it will not come of dose any one have any tips on how to get it off

Either soak it in penetrating oil, and/or tap it with something (small punch, brass mallet?)

Soak it with penetrating oil, it should loosen by itself. Do Not hit it with anything as it will break, unless you are going to just put in new rings anyway.
