I found some old pics dated Nov 1986 of my first sled purchase, a 1983 Ski-Doo Citation SS. Had a blast on this little sled. It had 5 HP over the Citation 4500 and it made a world of difference in the all important drag race across the slimes. Great memories!
I remember the first time the wife (then girlfriend) drove it with me on the back, she nailed the throttle and the front lifted off the ground half way down the street. I yanked her arm off the throttle thinking she panicked and couldn't let go, hanging on for dear life. That's when she said "what was that for? I just liked going fast." That's when I decided i'd marry that girl and never looked back since.

The first snowmobile I rode around the farm when I was about 9 was my brothers. It was a 1972 Snow Cruiser with a 292cc single cylender kohler in it. Needless to say I couldn't start it myself. The next year my dad bought a 1974 John Deere 300. Who says you can't drive around 100 acres of land, for a whole winter, every day, and not get bored.

First sled was a 74 Scorpion SS 440 Metallic Blue, bought if from my neighbor for $50. Ran great until my older brother got a hold of it. A broken suspension, bent rack and seized piston later it was gone.

My first sled, at age 10 was a Wolverine. They must be very rare. I have a hard time finding anyone that has even heard of them. I don't know much about them. I do remeber it was small and really slooooooow. It had a 125cc motor and I believe weighed under 200lbs. I didn't have time to read all the posts here but didn't see any wolverines listed in any of the posts I did read. If anyones has had one or knows more about them please let me know.

My first sled was a 1972 Arctic Cat Panther with the 303 wankel engine it. I was 14 years old and this sled was purchased from my neighnor for $200. It was 1974 and this sled was only 2 years old. I still have the sled. No engine however as I blew it into a million pieces in the winter of 1981. That sled ran perfect all those years. Never 1 problem with it. Prior to all this vintage sled interest, I can still remeber pulling up along side a new 1978 Polaris TX at a juntion on the trail and they where laughing at my ol panther, Great Memories!!!!
