If it has a piston seize, redo the cylinders and replace the pistons and you should be OK. If the crank bearings seized, REBUILD THE CRANK! Even if you free it up, it WILL reseize again! Just an FYI from experience with 2 sleds with seized cranks.

Probably cold seized. Put some penetrating oil in the cyl's and let it soak for a couple of days.
The Starcraft was only in production for 2 years, '70 and '71. With the 440 Kohler in it, it can only be one of two models. The "Escort" or the "Eliminator. The difference will be that the "Eliminator" will have two carbs and the "Escort only one. The recommended mix is 20:1. The chaincase takes a half pint of SAE30HD motor oil and the ski spindles have grease fittings. The belt # is 130074.
oh yeah,i forgot about that it was in production for 2 years, well in that case your right, that would be an awsome resto,i just said it was roached cus 60% of it is rust,i looked some pics of one on google, ski doo yellow! lol
Hello I am just looking at your old forum messages about your starcraft eliminator. Did you ever get it running and find enough parts? I just sold my 71 starcraft snowstar 290e. It has 592 miles on it in original condition and running like a top. even the electric start works great.
