Vintage Polaris (to me...)

Not sure if y'all consider this vintage or not, but here is a pic of me and my little brother back in about '80 I would guess.
I'm on my '78 Colt 250, my brother on our '73 Colt 295, which I rode for years before him. From the smiles I would say we just got back from another good ride with our parents, dad rode a '78 TX 340, mom a '77 TX 250. Just hated to put 'em in the garage on Sunday nights.....

No prob.
Those colts were fun 'cus they were light and manuverable. I used to have several of them and still have lots of parts for them. They made great trail racers 'cus you could stay on the throttle even in the twisties and beat much bigger sleds.

Amen to light sleds! It's handy when you need to whip em around in the garage or something. Mine's about 400lbs, and it's so much easier to move than my dads Apex, which I'm guessing is over 550? I love whipping it around on the trails too.

The best thing that you can do to them, because they are so narrow, is to put ski spread plates on them. It adds about 6 in to the width of the skis and makes them easier to turn and also more stable.
