My trailfire 340 motor i put in a liquifire frame, will go 90 mph on the speedo, but i was goin down a gravel road that was all ice, with snow on top. Usually the top speed is about 60- 70 mph for my 340, so the 440 might be a little faster. And yes it is fan cooled. Just make sure the track isnt dry rotted, cause mine was, and i jumped it, and it snapped in half. And I dont think it is oil injected. And if you need and parts, i have a lot of parts from my old 340. Almost everythings there except for the motor, the track, and the seat.

My '80 Liquifire is oil injected, so I would assume that your Trailfire is the same thing except fan cooled instead of liquid.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... That's why I thought a 79' would be oil injected.

I have an '80 Trailfire 440. It will do 80 mph by the speedometer, this is at high elevation, I weigh 185. They are a lot faster than they look.

Jeez... for some reason I can only get my Liquifire to 60, and I'm like 150. I think there's something wrong with the clutch.

The belt on it is brand new. Maybe 200 miles on it. Before the new belt I could only get about 50. The acceleration is night and day though. I have a feeling my clutch may at fault? I got her to about 65 on a flat, long road.
