Clutch removal question
What is the best way to remove the clutch in my 73 El Tigre sled? I've got the engine out to put in a new crank seal. I took the bolt out and it's only like 2"long. Is the crank hollow for a point, or does it not stick out that far? Help.

on those clutches you need to get a bolt that bolts into the end of the clutch, its a large fine thread bolt, put some never sieze on it and thread it in, it will push against the end of the crank and pop off the clutch, you may need to hit it with a hammer on the end of the bolt head.

the puller for the old hex shaft clutches is two pieces, one is a thin piece tha tgoed into the thread hole and the other is the same as the endcap that you had to remove to get the bolt out. This is screwed in and pushes against the pin and pops the clutch off.

got it, Thanks
I took a long rod and put it on the inside of the clutch and then the bolt at the end of the hex and screwed it in and it poped off.

Note:
The old hex shaft clutches were notorius for demolition of themselves. IE: the spider that holds the weight arms would break or the pins that hold the roller arms would bend and bind the arms. You would be better off up grading to a comet 94c or a 102 for that sled.
