we have a box of parts for the sled. it has a whole crank with rods, rear fox shocks, whole primary and secondary clutch, studs, (track is not studded). and extra boagey wheels.

Sounds like you had to do a bunch of work to this sled.

the track isnt amazing but it has a few years left on it i live west of rochester about 15 minutes in clarendon(next to brockport)
the sled has not had any work done to it the parts came from a junker sled that the kid we bought it from had. we thought the same thing when we bought it but thats not the case.

What's the compression on each side and what is that big gap between the front of the hood and the belly pan?

the book says that spec compression for each cylinder is 90 to 115 and it is 110-112 on each side. the gap between hood and belly pan is there so the hood clears the belly pan. we were gonna fix it but realized it needed to be there.

I think you are going to have to wait till snow hits the ground if you want that much out of your sled. I sold a 93 with a just rebuilt 580 and a brand new clutch and all i got was $1000
p.s. whats up with collection of rivets on the side bellypan?
