1973 Evinrude Trailblazer

I bought this the winter before last. Was on here asking questions as to why it wouldnt start.I found out it was the wiring, had a friend take a look at it and found that they were melted together.Fixed that and she starts up and runs well.Only thing is now it stalls after a mile or so of riding??? Dont have the knowledge or time to cure this ...Has new battery, new track,2 new surface gap plugs, one in it and one spare.Primer kit ,Quart of the good Evinrude oil.Has reverse. It looks great too! Would make someone an awesome vintage sled. Asking what I have into it, $600 or trade for a polaris or arctic cat of equal value...Just want something for ice fishing..Will post pics soon. Please call 1-231-258-2727 evenings. ask for Gary...

If you hit the primer will it keep running?

The primer was disconnected when I bought it. Always put a couple shots of gas in a hose that was coming out of the carburetor. I did buy a primer kit, but it's from the gas tank along with hoses, no primer button for the dash.

If you do that, will it start again and run for a bit?

It usually needed some time before it would start after stalling. Also I failed to mention that I bought this from a guy who said it had been sitting in his garage for 6 or 7 years .When we found out about the wiring issue and fixed them it started right up with the ist turn of the key...Fresh gas,new plug, new battery, and used carb cleaner. Thanks for the help guys.Im not a mechanic so this is apreciated .
