Newbie needs HELP!

This is my first sled and I need 2 things before i can get out on the trail this year. I need to find an ignition switch (Polaris #4110038) and a brake light switch. (Polaris Part #4110035) I can't find one ANYWHERE! The ignition switch is a 6 prong and my sled has elec start. I have a 1980 Polaris Galaxy 440. ANY help or links would be appreciated. If Polaris updated these part #'s i am oblivious to it and my local dealer is too. They said both are discontinued.

I have a 1980 galaxy 340 I bought after setting for years. It didn't have a key so I "hotwired" it too get spark. AFter many frustrating days of only backfiring took it to an old polaris mechanic. Turns out you can't hotwire it the way I did, needs that switch for it to function correctly. He had one lying around there and it had a different sled manufacturer name on it. I'm betting it's more of a universal switch than you think. Good luck.

Thank you! I am beginning to realize that the ignition switch isn't that hard to find but the brake light switch on the other hand....

There are several actually! If you go to Fowler distributors . com and look at the lawn care section they have a list of them with the wire diagrams, pick one that matches yours!
