WTT- 1978 Ford Fairmont Street/strip running project
Up for trade or sale is my 1978 Ford Fairmont. The fairmont is built off the same chasis as the 79-93 mustang. It is a california car so body work in VERY MINIMUM but the paint is shot. It has a 302 bored .060 with flat top pistons, 4bbl carb and intake, long tube headers, one wire alternator, electronic distributor, H.O. water pump and timing cover, electronic fuel pump, power steering. Trans is a all rebuilt C4 with the extra clutch pack and 2,800 stall converter with a winters gate shifter. Rearend is the stock 7.5 with 3:08 gears and an auburn posi unit. Tubular QA1 K-Member. Interior has recaro seats from a 79 Pace car muctang, black carpet, Grant Racing steering wheel and origonla AM 1 speaker radio that still works! LOL.
The car needs some work to be road worthy, but it does run and drive the way that it is. The brakes need to be bled, needs new gas tank or old one cleaned out, interior needs finished (headliner, back seat os brown, and the rear deck pannel is gone). The motor runs good right now but has a RV cam in it so it kinda falls on its face after about 5,000 RPM'S. other than the little stuff, it will make a hell of a street/strip car.
I am looking to trade for a newer yamaha, edge chasis polaris, ski-doo, arctic cat....whatever. Just shoot me an offer of what you have and we will go from there. Car is located in Three Rivers, Mi. 49093. Willing to travel a little bit, but not to far. Cash wise i am wanting $2250.00 OBO
the picture of the outside is without the motor
