Yamaha Enticer 250 Engine for sale

This engine ran great when I pulled it in the mid 80's. If you can decode the serial number I will send it. It came from a wrecked Enticer with very low hours. I was going to put it on my dune buggy but never got around to it. It was stored in my basement and "winterized" so no gunk accumulated in the carb or rust in the cylinder bore. Also has the coil. Not sure what it is worth - so I am entertaining any offer that seems reasonable. I am located in SE Michigan.

RJ, I wish it was that new! I called Yamaha and they did a search and from the code the could tell me the following -

It came off of a snowmobile (shocking)
It is a 246cc engine
The model was an ET250C Bravo or Enticer - had to be Enticer because the Bravo did not hit the market until 1982, but used the same motor.
It was built in 1979

If you reversed the last two digits to get the year, that only works with the VINS on the sled itself. Take care

It would sell better as an old engine over a new one because they are much more rare.
