I have a 79 Arctic Cat El Tigre that needs a CDI box. can you help.

I'll test it in my old cat to make sure it works properly...Are you sure , that that nis the problem...Why through good money after bad.... It is nice to have some extra parts around though....

its actualy an 80 but yes im sure. I just intalled a new internal and external coil and still no spark. let me know. thanks

if you can tell me how to test it would be great. I have a multi meter but dont know the specs.

I know 77 to 79 had the same cdi, but iIll check my books ot see if 80s were the same....how many wires does yours have coming out of the cdi?...No offence, but if you bought it used, parts my not be the oem ones...Know what I mean...someone may ahve cannibalized another sled to get yours to run....Heck I put Fireburst CDI's out of John Deere sleds into old ARctic cats that came with breakerless point ignitions...They work well, too.....also if you can email me a pic of it..at sturmgear@yahoo.com I'm sure I can match it up...ASAP..respectfully Jon..
