4 Sale is my 2000 Indy Polaris 500 XC. I bought it this winter with around 900 miles on it. I put over 600 on it during a trip to the UP in Feb, and the other 40 odd miles around home. The sled is in good condition (see below why I don't say great, I'm picky!) and will promise it will not let the next owner down in any way. Wife and I are looking to buy a house, so priorites come first
Good:
1.) Only 1,537 miles
2.) Starts on first/second pull everytime
3.) New belt, x-tra belt under hood, x-tra plugs and oil
4.) Track in great condition, never had studs and lugs in great condition, new 4" Woody carbides in early Feb.
5.) No cracks in hood or tears in the seat
6.) Gets around 11mpg
7.) Hand and thumb warmers
8.) Xtra-10 suspension with plenty of life left
9.) Cover in great shape with all hooks and latches
10.) Like new HJC Livewire helmet
11.) 94mph top speed (I'm 6' and 210lbs)
Bad (No affect on sled's performance, all cosmetic):
1.) Gas gauge broke (was broke when I bought it, just used odometer)
2.) Windshield hazed (looked like owner used a solvent to clean, left hazy on top)
3.) Some white paint on the seat where the previous owner set a table on it during storage
4.) Two small cracks on instrument housing on left side near pre-air filter ($35 part from online catalog)
5.) Some small flaking and scratches through hood decals
That's all I can think of right now. Pictures are below. If you want pictures of the small cracks, paint, etc...let me know and I will email them.
