Mint 72 Arctic Cat Panther For Sale

This is a 1972 Arctic Cat Panther 340 that is in immaculate condition.Basically it was purchased new in 72 by a friend of the family and rode for a couple years then something went wrong in the engine and it sat under the cover til 1987 when my dad bought it and attempted to resurrect it with no luck.It sat covered again until 2002 when it was given to me and i went through everything. It has a new gas tank and cap,new fuel lines, the engine is rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals

I junked the walbro WDA1 that was on it and bought a tillotson HDA1 and fully rebuilt the carb.I put new hard face wear rods on it and A.C. purple trim on the windshield.I finally got it running this year and put about 5 miles on it(it has a new speedo too),tuned the carb and it starts and runs excellent just prime it a couple times, whirl it over and you're good to go.The track and cleats are original and like new.The hyfax show almost no wear at all.I polished the tunnel a couple years ago so it looks nice

The seat bottom and back are in perfect shape. The clutch and belt have just been replaced as well as the chaincase oil. Everything works on it and its definitely a show winning quality vintage sled.I will be getting some pics up later this weekend and i'll take pics of everything or anything specific if you'd like me to.I'd love this one to go to someone who appreciates the older sleds and the time and effort it takes to fix them up.Any questions or inquiries just send me a message and i'll get back asap.

I put many miles on a 292 like this....great in the snow. It went places that my friends ski-doos could never go.

I'd really like to get around 1000 for it. I'm willing to negotiate slightly, considering the amount of time and money and labor I've invested in it. I've had it almost forever and I'm just looking for the right buyer. I'd love it to go to somebody who can appreciate a really nice vintage sled in this kind of shape. I don't think i'm asking too much, I see old cats in pretty rough shape going for up to 2000 up here and this one is almost in showroom condition. Again if you have any questions let me know.
