I have a chance to get a good deal on a 1998 SRX 600 with 2200 miles on it, starts first pull and appears clean aside from one fatal flaw. The W-arm looks like it broke about 200+ miles ago. With a little maintenance (clean carbs, clean/adjust valves, etc) this could be a decent sled IF I can get a good deal on a new rear skid. I'm not a Yamaha expert but as I understand it almost any yamaha suspension from this era should fit. (121 inch that is... right or wrong?) I don't know what other damage was done to shocks etc which is why I'd like a complete suspension.
Also you can imagine what the track looks like so if you've got a track in good shape I'd like to buy that too rather than drop $300+ on a new one.
Finally if someone has just the W-arm I'd consider buying just that and trying to fix what's there if it was an amazing deal.

hello, im not an expert by any means myself but one thing i do know is that if your looking to buy used then make sure that its from the same sled, in your case an srx. if im not mistaken 96-99 will fit. i tryed doing the whole susp swap from a 91 phazer to a 91 exciter, the guy told me they would bolt up, same exact fit blah blah blah. after a good 2 hours later of hole drilling i got it to fit... i also have a 121" off a yamaha has minor knicks in 3 of the paddles id let it go for 100 bucks and u pay the shiping... let me know
