However did you know? Made it to the very top... no problem, but went to turn to go and his ski caught and changed the direction of his ski; hence losing control and then the rolling! I've also had issues going up a hill; turning to go back down, and rolled my sled. It has been in crappy conditions and for myself not sure what I need to do to overcome these scenarios?"
It's easier to turn out when the snow isn't so hard. The week I was up there, the first three days, the top 1/3 of the hill was super icy, no one could really see the ice until you hit it. More than a couple sleds took a ride down without rider. That's scary, to be sure.
How to overcome it? Stay at the bottom and watch
Or practice on the lower slopes to gain the confidence you can make the turn, then go hit the high mark. (I know you won't stay at the bottom and watch )
