Do they

make a mini-grommer that u could pull behind a sled? For some of these small narrow trails around the cottage i wish i could do something to make them a lil smoother.

They make drags for pulling behind Ski Doo Alpines, etc.

You can make you own. It doesn't matter what kind of sled that you ride.

A friend used to have a groomer that hooked to his XCSP 600, that he got when he bought the sled (used) and it was just a little wider then the sled, and had lights on it that plugged into the sled.

They make mini-drags for all the work sleds.

I belong to the EZ-riders in Jacksonville Vt. and I saw them dragging what looked like welded angle iron squares with V pointed foward sheet metal in the middle of each square.
I think there was two of these squares chained together being dragged behind each sled. looked homemade to me.

i live near a trail and offer my time for free riding and i pull around a 4 ft wide square tubing thingy. I tie it to my grab bar(either atv or sled but the atv is funner) and off i go. it doesnt do the best job, it kinda just digs into the high spots to make them lower, it still digs into the lower spots just not as much. For a home made groomer, it does fine but it doesnt compare with the big groomer beast thing they wont let me drive. I wonder why they wont let a 16 yo drive an expensive machine?

Some cross-country skiing trails get groomed that way. When there isnt enough snow to power till the trails they use a drag that they tow behind a snowmobile.

i have actualy fabricated one....what i did was weld a 3x5 ft square out of steel tubing and attaches some chain linked fence to it..like they do for the dirt at baseball games...it works unbelievable! I kid you not..we have tight windy trail where i ride and groomers cant fit but i can...i have had people stop me and thank me and tell me it works great..simple too... there is a down side!!! It puts serious strain on the belt and wears them extremely quick...and they are cheap when you do a couple in one season.... IT WORKS GREAT TRY IT

I can see where that *would* work well. Makes perfect sense... like a cheese grater, for snow.

the grag

here is the one i made...i just took the pic so its not that clear...i welded a 5 ft square tubing and a 3ft wide square tubing and bolted the fence to it...i used rope from each corner and a beaner clip...if i was to do it again i would make it a tad smaller... maybe a 3x3 instead..it would work just as well
