water?

how do you go threw water on sleds? im new to the sport and i feel realy stupid asking this. we have 4 wheelers and we just plow threw water, is it the same for a sled? my friend told me to just gas it and lean back but im not sure. its not like i just hopped on a sled like 2days ago, i have been riding for about a month but i just havent had to go threw water yet.

Are you talking about skiming water or just going through small streams? If your going through streams you don't have to gas it to much just drive through. Its best to avoid water on the trail if posible. you can get your skis stuck and stuf sometimes.

ya, im not trying to skim across a lake or anything...lol but its just a few little things... ill try it tomorow. i guess im just scared cuz i just got the thing.....thanks!

If its look a small little thing you can drive through it. If it is like 2 feet hit the thottle lean back and dont stop.

Heh I was nervous the first time I crossed a stream because water splashed all over me and the snowmobile, and I was afraid that it might have damaged the sled.
