When we go to Pittsburg, NH we usually get about 150 in a day. We stay up there at least once a year, go up on Thursday morning and ride Thur, Fri and Sat. Last year we got 600 miles in on that trip! What a great long weekend- ohhh my back hurt.

we rode about 300+ in one day, thank god it was the last day of the year. I was dead, i dont even remember going to bed when i got home or eating, but when I woke up at like 2am I had a plate of food next to me that my girlfriend said i ate, lol, that was a long long long day, 8am-about 11pm, with about a 2 hour stop to watch some sno-x racing.

I put 40-45 miles on my 1980 Blizzard 5500 yesterday. It has upwards of three inches of travel in the rear. My back hurts.

On a good 2 day weekend we ride atleast 250 miles a day. Most I ever rode on a 3 day weekend was 900 miles. That was during a 5000 mile season. One of the guys i used to ride with rode 10,000 miles a season. Now thats what snowmobiling is all about

Wow, you guys really dont put alot of miles on in one day! BAck in Newfoundland, well, Labrador, we have thousands of miles of trails that are groomed to perfection at all times. In the run of a day, we'll usually put 200-300 km's, then go home for supper, fill up the sled, and head to the cabin, which is usually a good 75-100 km's away, drink a case, case and a half of beer, whatever feels best, then head back to town and fill up again ,maybe get a little cop chase on the go ;-) and head back down again! Id say roughly 600-700 km's on a good day....

The longest hardest ride I went on was 130 miles in 5 hours. Me on my 95 550 Cougar and my buddy on his 99 zr500. He was pushing me all the way so we were doing like 65 the whole way. The trails were rough on the way there and on the way back. On the way back we met the groomer and it was the greatest feeling in the world, unfortunately we met him only 2 miles after he started and after that it was back to the grind. I am supprised my old Cougar didn't break, and equaly supprised I didn't break!

1.5 kilometers = 1 mile That means that SRX says he puts between 450 and 525 miles on in a day. That kind of riding you should only need to have the engine rebuilt a couple of times a season or buy a couple of snowmobiles a year which im sure most of us do

Hillbilly read his last sentence. He states that roughly on a good day 600-700 km's which is 450-525 miles. That would average out to around 45 to 52 mph for 10 hours straight.

Well I don't average at 52 mph, its usually about 80-90 on our groomed trails, maybe 600-700 kms was a little exagurated but a good 500 for sure....

Just put on 150 a day last weekend and that was with a new person (my wife) trailing behind. Not bad considering it was the U.P. during prime traffic/mogal times.

Yeah but think about it, Im from Newfoundland, our winter is from october until late april, with an approximate 5-6 feet of snow all season....and its a wide open snowmobile heaven which means no matter what direction we travel in, we aren't gonna come up to anyone's land or highways etc...people put upwards of 10 000 km's on a sled in a year down there....up here in Ontario , I put MAYBE 50 km's on my sled, then the engine popped!
