Not really sure but if you put this in the mountain section, the guys over there might be able to give you a bit more help. Also it seems that those forums are visited more frequently/

You need a track with bigger lugs than that jag has or you'll have a hard time.

That jag it will be hard to get your balance right but you may want to install a grab handle on your handlebars(an extra u shape handle that fits between your throttle and brake levers) that helped me in the beginning when i first started carving, another tip is to throw the opposite leg of the way you are carving over your seat towards the way you are carving- it helps by throwing more wigeht into the turn

really they dont make a grab bar for the jag? Surprised but like i said try throwing your leg thats how i do it when there isnt much snow, but if your in deep snow just throw your body into the turn and nail that throttle

Oh geez, you shouldn;t have to do much but lean a bit to carve. How steep are you trying to carve?

I think you are dealing with nothing more than a lack of power and/or track. Turning will only slow you down and get you stuck quicker. So be as smooth as possible and keep momentum. Plan your turns ect. You might just be in a place that your sled cannot handle.

Then you need to work the/a trail. It is gonna be hell until you establish a trail cause you will get stuck more than once.

Either that or you need to walk the trail (long walk through snow...) a couple times to get it started.

Basicly, you need to pack a trail down, but your snowmachine isn't ideal for it. Figure something out, because carving isn't going to help you.

I think you would be better off trying to blast you way through that field till you get close to the end. Keep doing it till the trail gets packed down a little. It doesn't take too many times. After you establish the trail. try to make it wider. How deep is this powder anyway??
