i raced a deer on the the trails a couple nights ago!!! he came out in front of me and started prancing along then i ripped the gas and gave him a run for his money "LITERALLY" and i got somethin to tell you guys deer can run!!! I clocked that sucker at a solid 60! and otherwise ive just hit small animals mostly squirrels and partridge " AIM FOR THE HEAD AND BRINGEM HOME! "
my buddy was riding in the front of me on a trail beside my house once and all i could see was a little ball of fur come spittin outta his track and it was my moms pet squirrel who she likes to feed nuts too in the summer! to this day she wonders what happened to him " he used to climp on the railing of our deck " till my buddy brown smoked him.

While out last week I ran into 4 coyotes. I thought it was no big deal so I kept riding. When I got closer they didn't budge. So I had to take the long way. Anyone ever been chased by coyotes?

friend of mine missed a turn, went on to a field, and while moving back towards the trail, going about 50mph, launched up into the air. Broke his sled. Turned out to be a dead deer covered with snow. Someone hit it earlier and moved off the trail. I would've taken that thing home if it was me.

well, we went out riding on saturday and i ran into a pig. As in the Van Buren County Sherif Departmen. lol. They were pretty cool though. I still got a ticket because i played lazy and didnt get my sled registerd, so my own stupidity, but one of them was a real ass and the other two were pretty cool. I did kill a posum on my porch today. I thought it was my dog getting into the trash and woke up today to find there was more scatterd, so i went out there and there he was. I beat him over the head with a snow shovel till he played dead the got him with the spade shovel from the garage. I dont think he was pretending after that. lol.

nope, not quite a cavity search. I went on tuesday to court for it and after waiting for 50 minutes, i was in the office for about 2 minutes without exagerating and $75.00 for no registration, so I wouldnt call it a cavity search, but they got me pretty good. lol. Then i got out on the trails right after that and smoked a head gasket, then i got to taco bell after being towed for appx. 5 miles and my total there was $6.66 so i was waiting for something else to happen, luckly i got home and slept the rest of the day. Ohh well, another day in paradice city i guess.

was racing a buddy across an open field one night. about 8 inches of fresh fluffy snow on top of a deep base. All of the sudden a deer ran righ in front of me and I missed it, it was heading for my buddy and all the sudden his light goes out- completely black. I thought he was a goner! Nope, he hit the bakes and dipped the nose down in the powder, packed his light full but missed the deer by inches.

Near Misses with lots of deer
I see deer on the trails around here (South Central Wisconsin) just about everytime we go out riding but we usually take it pretty easy and watch out for them. I've come real close to hitting deer a few times on the trails and have even come across a coyote running full speed across the trail.
My brother hit a deer and just about totalled his sled but he didn't get hurt too bad (a few scratches and some banged up fingers). His buddies towed him back home and he got onto his other sled and they all went out riding again. Talk about die hard trail riding.

Why do all of you people miss the dear? That's free meat lol.
I hit a chicken once lmao. I was riding the banks along my road to get to the trails and my neighbors let their chickens out. I had to get down from the bank at one point (to avoid their mailbox) and a chicken came out from their driveway... I cooked it lol. When I got back my parents saw that there was a feather sticking out of the hood... oops.

there wasn't another sled on the other trail, i didn't see the raccoon because it was behind a bush about 3 foot tall and like two foot wide. just big enough to hide. normally when i change trails i crawl to them but it was clear that it was safe till teh coon appeared. it was a good lesson thow ill never do it again.

I hit a full sized buck a few years ago, I would say it was probably 8 or 10 point, he wasn't skinny to say the least! I had been riding in a field along a treeline when he hopped out front. I hit him dead centre. My poor yamaha got a new hood, windshield, seat and track. Ya, thats right, track. When the sled slid on its side, it ripped a large section out of the track.
