what i need

me and my friend got our sleds for free cuz the people that we got them from didnt think they ran. so we took them and got them going. my question is, is it possible for us to get them registered for public trails. what do we need to ride on the trails? we do not have the registration or a bill of sale cuz we got them for free. both sleds have the numbers on the hood and that stuff. thanks!

Check with you DMV for the necessary documentation required.

they should be able to pull the registration without a card just by the numbers on the side of the sled, you will need a trail sticker and get the registration changed over to you and renewed. they may try to call the original owners to make sure they actually gave them to you being as you don;t have a reg card.

Go back to the previous owners and ask for a transfer of ownership receipt.(bill of sale) stating the they gave them to you. Then make a rubbing of the serial # from the plate on the side of the tunnel. Take these to your DMV and they will make sure that you fill out the proper papers to get a registration.
