Back here in Vermont we got about 5 inches a week ago and then another couple a few days later...but mostly gone now...but very encouraging for a snow filled winter. We went out signing trails today and there were flakes in the air...darn cold too...can't wait to ride finally! Think Snow...Ride Safe!

well we need more thinking and begging for snow. I don't think it'll make an appearance when temps are in the 60's

And as far as wisconsin guys go... when you hear we are getting some, then its time to get hopes up

Well...the cabin that we stay at when we sled has at least 6" right now, according to friends that were just up. Lake effect, baby!!

You aren't going to find it anywhere... but i just realized something, svt, I'm just north of you and across the river Bad news for us, mid 50s next week I'd say we'll have snow to ride on by late decemeber, earliest that is.

yeah but its all melted now. I've been trying to forecast whats been going on and have been keeping track of snowfalls of previous years. Last year, we got 20", year before, 25". The year before that, barely 30".

How many people are still prepping sleds? I've got some bearings to replace on the track Shouldn't be too bad though. My skis just got in, along with some other various items i needed for my sled. This sled is almost restored, except for the track... thats next.

Still prepping? We haven't even started yet! This weekend, though - we'll be driving "home" for Thanksgiving, so we're taking the truck down & bringing the sleds back up. I'm one excited girl!!

Of course, I'm praying for snow. This mid- to upper-50s business that is being forcasted is ridiculous!!

Here in VT. we have the cold now after 60+* now all we need is for all this rain we have been having to turn to snow. a bud of mine said he calculated if it all came down as snow without melt or compacting we would have had 4.5feet in the Champlain Valley. Just think of that. Iam waiting for the lake to freeze over then we have one heck of a play area.

Ice princess,
I logged on your homepage and could not find a Vermont trail map.
I have a few questions on your area.
1. Trail permits cost?
2. How miles of trail?
3. Best place to ride?
4. where did you learn to write so eloquently.
