ZR 600 EFIs 98&99's are going for that price on ebay...excellent deals id say....very good sleds, as long as you find one that has the stator problem fixed
theres millions of XLTs out there for $1000

I've got an ad here from work on our want ad board for someone selling a 2000 Indy 500 XC, 5200 miles, new Kimpex shocks and skis, new drive belt, didn't say the condition, but the price was a shocker - 950 bucks !!! If it is taken care of halfway decent, that would be a hell of a buy, my 2000 XC 500 has been a gem, runs great, rides good, plenty of power for a 500, and is easy on gas and oil, great for a long trip. Don't know who is selling it ,but I have a phone number if you're interested.

depends on your location, doesnt it? i know in american snowmobiler they had a tech section on what sleds are good to modify. they said they were finding 2000 and newer SRX's and ZR's for about that with low miles. one was an 04 for like 2500 i think. polaris, maybe an RMK? not sure on the model though...

Just be sure you have someone look at the sled your gonna buy that knows what they are looking at. You can buy yourself a big headache with used sleds if you don`t check them over pretty good.

Just keep your eyes open for a deal. I bought a 96 ski-doo grand Turing 580 with 1500 miles for 1g. It is in great shape and runs well.
