I think I will go check it out. I went to gas up the sled tonight, and the trails were rougher than a cob. They didn't do a very good job grooming the other night.

The temps were above freezing this morning, and have been dropping all day. It's now 20F out, and it's been snowing pretty much all day. The local tv station is callin for snow in the forecast the next 7days. I think we'll be fine for the Michigan ride next weekend.
They still haven't groomed the trails here yet. I'm hopin that they have filled the groomer operator position. The club was supposed to do that this week

Well we've gottin about 5" of fresh snow over the last couple of days, and they finally ran the groomer lastnight. It's still bumpy, but not near as bad as it was. There is plenty of snow on the trails from Alanson north to Larks Lake. The railroad trail isn't to bad either. I just hope the forecast for next weekend is wrong.

Went out this evening with my daughter. The trails were still bumpy. Opon return to the homestead, it started snowing. we're expected to get around 1"inch according to the weather ppl, but what do they know anyway. there's more than an inch now, and it's still comin down. We have about a 5-8" base as of right now in the Alanson area. The trails should be in good shape by Matin Luther King weekend.

Big Rapids area has about 2" right now and it's still falling. I need a snow table! Anyways, I'll give you totals later. How is it up by your area?

We got freezing rain yesterday morning. Had a 1/2 " of ice on the wood pile. It stared snowing around 2PM and never stopped 'til 9-10PM. I had to go for a cruise. The trails are in good shape here. They will be excellent if they groom tonight. Most of the bumps should be gone then.

Mouse,
Did you see what Locky posted about the snow they got in the SOO area? Man we could have rode like crazy with that kind of snow. Hope we get that in Gaylord in Feb.

We got 4" of snow between Tue eve and this morning at my place west of gaylord. Trails look pretty good today, but there are not many sled out yet. If we don't get anymore before weekend there will be some snirt in places.

Well, I got to make the first tracks on the trail lastnight. They groomed the trails here lastnight. They are in excellent shape. We probably have around a 8" base now. For the best riding, I would recommend coming up during midweek. Not as much traffic on the trails.

I just got back from a 130mi. ride. I decided to do alittle cruisin, so I headed north up trail 7 on the old r&r grade to Mackinaw City. I was bumpy as heck until you got north of Pellston, and then it was smooth as a babies a$$. I was cruisin at about 75-80MPH. That smooth. From Mackinaw City, I took trail nearly to M68HWY, and turned around. It was pretty much just straight runnin ( all old r&r grade), but it was real nice in the ol' spine. The trails around here ( my place) are tore right up.

What is the outlook for the 27th - 30th? How much snow is actually on the ground? How is the OFF trail riding? Especially, Pellston, North & West.. Thanx.....

I'm not sure what the weather is supposed to be like.
From what I could see, off trail riding looked pretty good. there is plenty of snow on the ground here in the Alanson area. There's lots of snirt around here, but once you get away from town, it get better. The Mackinaw trail north of Pellston is in excellent shape with no snirt, or dirt. Also the trail goiin from Mackinaw to Onaway is in excellent condition. I didn't go of trail in these area because I didn't bring my GPS with me, but they looked excellent also. By the way. Glad to see you got signed on finally
