Yup. All those tracks actually represent some work... I took 3 bales of wood chips back to the barn on the 340. Got the running board grips put on the 440, and took it around for a spin. Seems like I still have the problem with the paddles hitting the tunnel guard strips. That means I'll be working on the suspension again... arghhhhhhh

If it's dark when you go by, I should have just told you about the lights my son puts up every year. RG&E loves us!!! The breeze created by the electric meter spinning causes drifts on the north side of the house...

Got some snow earlier in the week. Took 2 of my sleds to the farm in Walworth, and spent a couple hours riding the hay fields. My 550ZL is running real nice since I ran some carb cleaner through the tank. Pulls the skis easy now, just jump on the gas... My daughter got to ride the "new" 340 Jag (1980) I picked up over the summer. She just finished the safety course, so she's got some practice driving under her belt now.

Then came the rain later in the week... Stinks!

Might try trailering to the lakeshore next week, after the trails officially open. Ontario had a few more inches of snow than what I got in Farmington. Hopefully we'll get another blast of snow tonight and into the weekend.

Still not quite enough. Somewhat of a base, but need about 4 to 6 inches on top.

Was out last night. Had about 10" in Farmington (Ontario County) when I went out. Still not quite enough to make the corn fields smooth, but not too bad considering how little snow we have seen this year.

Ha... work...

(Saw a propane delivery truck at my neighbor's house today...)

I took a half day off today! Spent it riding! Rode all the way past Atlantic ave. from here. Some really bad spots (giant mud swamps), but most was great riding. Put about 30 miles on... You're right about it being cold! Had to navigate a mud swamp near the power lines on the way home... I took it around 30 and kept on the gas, but ended up covered with muddy water. Froze over my face shield solid, as well as my jacket and pants. Had to ride home with my shield cracked open so I could see. Man, did the temp drop as soon as the sun went down!

Anyway, it was a really great ride. We stopped short of making it to 104, because we didn't want to ride through any more mud pits. The entrance into the woods heading that way was quite messy. You'd think as cold as it is that those pits would be frozen. Wish they were... we would have made it to 104.

Met lots of sleds on the trails later in the afternoon.

Tracks on the West side of Alderman, heading South from Maxwell, lead straight to my house. Put 'em there myself

Looks like about a foot of snow can be expected south of RT 20. Less as you go north from there.

Trails are packing down nicely. There still is minimal base though. Groomers have been out panning the trails in Southern Herkimer county.

Down here in the Cortland area we have recieved about 12". We have been out riding alot since Sat morning. Groomers will be out this week. Trails are in good shape right now. A little rough from weekend traffic but after waiting as long as we have anything is better than nothing. Some of the fields have 12"+ fresh powder. a BLAST to play in. I did notice that some of the steeper hills are icy and difficult to climb without studs. Keep it in mind if you're coming down here.

Trails in Madison County are rough and in bad shape. Enough snow but not groomed.

Sucks, don't it? We still have a foot or so on the ground, but it won't last long with temps like that.

Went out riding yesterday in Otsego County. The trails were very nice, but the end is near. We had to ride around some brown spots in the trail.
