Here is some info.

GAYLORD AREA SNOWMOBILE REPORT
---------------------------------------
Hi Folks,

I sadly have to admit, it's over. The golf clubs are packed away and it is time to think snow. Before I completely close out thoughts of golf I have one question. Am I the only one who needs a GPS to find his way out of the woods after an errant shot?

A little snow is on the ground in the Gaylord area but not enough to get excited about yet. Any snow we get now is the wet heavy stuff. The ground is still a little to warm and daytime temps are still getting above freezing. Last year at this time we had not
seen any snow but we have had a couple of storms this year so maybe a early winter is in our future.

The real reason for this note is to let you know I am still around ( thanks to the GPS ) and will be keeping you updated on the snow and trail conditions as we get it.

In the mean time think gol----- snow!

4-5 inches around west michigan. Not good at all. After a couple of times around you start kicking up dirt. Lets just hope by Christmas we have a base.

We got hit with a good storm Sunday up here in Upper Michigan (Houghton/Hancock area). We have a good 2 feet of snow and the groomers are out. I went for a ride last night with a couple of buddies and the trails were perfect. It looks like winter is finally here to stay up here.

We received about 5 inches today. Real fluffy. Still not quite ready for the trails yet. Put on about 15 miles tonight. Hopefully this stays and they are calling for more snow this week.

I will give ya a holler if I make it up that way. Sounds like you have some rideable snow there. Down here in Howell we're expecting 5-10" and it should start soon. Let's pray.

The snow is coming down here in Michigan. We all will be Runnin against the wind on our sleds with that fresh snow. 5-10" expected, maybe more.

Save your money and gas the rest of this week. Snow is melting. Looks like early next week it will cool down again.

It's been pretty warm lately, not to mention all the rain Thursday (12/30/04) I could see that the trails along the roads were nothin but dirt. think snow, and Happy New Year.

well we got 5-6" of fluff in the past 20 hours but theres no base yet. You can do alittle riding but your skis are hitting bare ground. By Saturday its suppose to start melting again.

It's 54 right now and water everywhere. It is suppose to get cold again this weekend. Trail conditions now are not good. Not even good up North in Gaylord.

Well finally some decent riding going on around the area. Trails are not bad at all. Groomers are up and running.
