Angry Trail conditions around Delavan,Wi area

Man, prior to last Fri. and Sat. we had some pretty decent trail conditions. We had 16"+ snow on the ground, most of it powder. The 375 miles of trails here in Walworth county we pretty good. All the crap hit Fri (Dec 26), temp was 43 and we had rain, the next day was even worse, the temp was over 50 and lots of rain. I wanted (and did) scream!!! Our snow is now reduced to maybe 2-3 inches!! WTF! Any other local riders out there? WE NEED SNOW! None in the forecast, VERY frustrating!!

I'm about 2 hours straight north of you, but in the same boat. We got the same warm weather and rain. The trails were opened on the 17th and now they're closed.

It's fine by me though. I'm battling an electrical problem on my sled and would really be pissed if the trails were open.

Yep, I got fooled this year. Here I thought we were going to have a snowy winter around here like last year but those two big meltdowns we had to care of that. Getting really sick of the winters around here, they are pretty much a joke, 25 degrees and snowing like crazy one day, then 50 degrees and raining 2 days later! Nothing like they were when I was a kid. When my son graduates HS I hope to move to the U.P. and say FU to these weak winters!

Thumbs up

Yeah the one is a Blaster, then I have a 300ex and a 250x(in pic as well) as well for four wheelers. What sleds/atvs do you have? Why did you get rid of your 400ex? I live a little outside Delavan in Town of Sugar Creek. Are in the city or town of Delavan?

I agree with the lack of areas to four wheel around here, it's kind of funny because I think more people have atvs than snowmobiles but I realize atvs are more destructive to property. I usually ride up near Mauston(castle rock lake area as well) with my buddy, it's pretty good up there, you can legally ride on the roads even. We'll have to go riding together sometime(whether it be sled or atv, if you get another one) Do you belong to any snowmobile clubs around here? I don't but really should join one, I just don't see myself ever being able to attend meetings.

I just joined this year, but we meet at corners - I paid my dues and there is a meeting once a month during riding season.
